Are you getting married at Danesfield House?

Overlooking the River Thames between Marlow and Henley-on-Thames, Danesfield House is pure statement architecture. That white mansion façade, sweeping terraces and formal gardens make it one of the most striking wedding venues in Buckinghamshire.

It feels luxurious without being stiff. Grand without losing warmth. And the elevated views across the Thames Valley give your wedding day a proper sense of occasion.

Are You Looking For A Wedding Photographer For Your Wedding At Danesfield House?

If you’re planning your wedding at Danesfield House and want natural, storytelling photography that captures the day without taking it over — you’re in the right place.

While photography is obviously important, it’s only one part of your whole wedding day. What really matters is celebrating your commitment and the merging of two families into one. You may have guests travelling from all over the world to be there, and you should have the time and space to enjoy them.

My approach at Danesfield House is always documentary-led — capturing the fun, emotion and atmosphere as it unfolds, with a fly-on-the-wall presence. I blend in quietly, never pulling you away for hours of posed photos or making you miss your drinks reception. Your wedding day isn’t a photoshoot — it’s a celebration. And the most meaningful photographs are always the natural ones aren’t they?

With its flowing layout from prep rooms to ceremony spaces to terrace drinks, it works beautifully for documentary coverage. I’ll quietly move through the day, capturing real reactions, proper laughter and those calm just-married moments overlooking the river.

No awkward staging. No over-direction. Just your day, honestly photographed.

What About Group Photos?

We’ll absolutely do family group shots, however they won’t take long (maximum 15/20 minutes).

I keep them efficient and relaxed — around 8–10 combinations is usually ideal. Enough to capture the important people without turning the terrace into a roll call.

With Danesfield House’s formal gardens and grand Buckinghamshire backdrop, we can keep things moving so you’re back with your guests quickly (preferably with champagne in hand).
