Are You Planning On Getting Married At The Queens Hotel, Cheltenham?

If so you cannot go wrong, Located on Cheltenham’s famous Promenade, The Queens Hotel is one of the town’s most iconic wedding venues. With its grand Regency façade, elegant interiors and central location, it offers a timeless setting for couples planning a Cheltenham wedding. The staff are attentive too, and in experience will bend over backwards in order to make you and your wedding guests as comfortable as possible.

Despite its grandeur, The Queens Hotel feels warm, welcoming and surprisingly relaxed. It’s a venue that suits couples who want classic elegance without formality — and from a photography point of view, it works beautifully for candid, documentary wedding photography.

A Relaxed, Documentary Wedding at Queens Hotel

While photography is obviously important, it’s only one part of your whole wedding day. What really matters is celebrating your commitment and bringing two families together. You may have guests travelling from all over to be there, and you should have the time and space to actually enjoy them.

My approach to Queens Hotel is always documentary-led in a story telling way. I capture the fun, emotion and atmosphere as it unfolds, working quietly with a fly-on-the-wall presence. I won’t pull you away for hours of posed photos or make you miss time with your guests. Your wedding day isn’t a photoshoot — it’s a celebration. And the most meaningful photographs are always the natural ones don’t you think?

Is it Possible To Do Group Photos Without Stopping the Day?

Of course, I’m always happy to photograph family and friend group shots — they’re important too.

Whilst 90% of my photography is candid, we’ll absolutely do group photos— just quickly and efficiently.

Around 8–10 combinations is usually ideal, taking roughly 15–20 minutes. The front of the hotel or Imperial Gardens provides a clean, elegant backdrop. Alternatively the impressive stairs make an awesome backdrop.

We’ll keep it smooth and stress-free so you’re straight back to enjoying the celebrations.
